How to crochet any size ipad/laptop/kindle sleeve/cover/case


Hi friends! This is the written pattern for my youtube tutorial. With this tutorial you can make your own cover for your devices. You can easily adjust the width and length according to the device. This tutorial is beginner friendly. You can find the video at Youtube

Materials needed: 

  • Durable cosy ( 100% cotton)

  • Crochet hook 6 mm 

  • Yarn needle

  • stitch markers

  • Scissors 


Stitches Used | Abbreviations

  • Slip stitch (sl st)

  • Chain (ch)

  • Single Crochet (sc)

  • Half double crochet (hdcc

  • Row 1: Start off by making a foundation chain. Make as many chains as needed to reach the desired width of the device . End with an odd number of chains 

  • Row 2 : Single crochet (sc) till the end of the chain, 4 sc, Sc again till the end, 4 sc in the last stitch, Slip stitch and chain 3



  • Row 3: 
  • Row 4:

  • step 1: Insert hook in the second chain from the hook, yarn over and pull through

  • step 2: Next insert hook into the next chain, yarn over and pull through 

  • Step 3: Now insert hook in the next chain of the first row, you now have 4 loops

  • Step 4: next insert hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull through. *Repeat one more time 

  • Step 5: Now you have 6 loops on your hook, yarn over and pull though all 6 and chain 1

  • Repeat steps 1 till steps 5 to make more stars

  • step 6: After  the last star, slip stitch

  • Step 1: Single crochet in the  eye of the first star and chain 1 

  • Step 2: Work 2 hdc in the eye of each star across the row

  • Step 3: After the last hdc, slip stitch and chain 3.


Between each row of star stitches, you will work rows of hdc stitches

*Repeat rows 3 and 4 until you reach the desired length. You will be alternating between star stitch row and hdc row. End with a star stitch row
